Orcas Island Park and Recreation District

Orcas Island Park and Recreation District is requesting proposals for the June 1st, 2026 – May 31st, 2028 Buck Park Maintenance Contract. Bid packet is located here.

Sealed proposals will be accepted until 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday, May 13th, 2026 at the OIPRD office located at 30 Pea Patch Lane, or via USPS to PO Box 575, Eastsound, WA 98245.

A bidder walkthrough will be held in Buck Park at 673 Mount Baker Road, Eastsound on Friday, May 8th at 9:00 a.m.

We are running a half-day summer camp option for the first week of summer break, June 22-26. The 2.5 hour session will have dance, gymnastics and crafting. It will take place at the OC Dance Studio. It is $25 per day so you can choose how many of the days you’d like to join in. Hope to see you there! Financial assistance is available.

Take a look at some of the exciting activities coming up for this summer season. We’ve got several camps and free weekly events at Buck Park.

Join Teacher Tiffany at the Dance Studio August 17th – August 21st, 10 am – 2pm. This is a level 3/4 Dance Camp is for ages 11-17. This camp will focus on practicing technique and learning choreography to prepare for the fall show, The Nutcracker. It’s $250 for the entire week with financial assistance available through OIPRD.

Check out adult sports or dance this winter! Buy a multipass online or pay in cash at the event.

Great event for teens and adult of all levels. This class will go through the basics of carving your own stamp, then build each week to create prints of multiple colors, try printing on fabric and more. Financial assistance is available and we can accommodate registration for individuals who can only attend 1 class. Contact us with any questions at oiprd@oiprd.org.

Join Orcas Dance Collective Drop-in Adult Classes this winter. New classes include Intro to Tumbling, Restorative Slow Dance, Tap, and Contemporary/Jazz. Purchase a 5-pass or 10-pass on our website now.
